Enter an 800 Calorie Insertion!

I am currently consuming a 1700 calorie a day diet consisting of a delicious blend of clean fats, carbs and protein.  In order to make gains, I must grow. 
Thus, enter the 800 calorie insertion

My coach (Nathan Harewood of Define Fitness) did my weekly assessment yesterday (Friday) and granted me two 800 calorie meals over the weekend.  800 calories!  That’s a lot right?  Crazy!!!  Then I started actually trying to decide what I would spend this generous allowance on. 

Enter reality check
It’s really easy to consume without knowing it.  Most everyone will enjoy a night out during the week for drinks and appetizers or a nice dinner.  What about a date?  Dinner and a movie?  In relevance to the average diet and caloric needs, 800 extra calories is a large amount.  However, this is just how easy it is spend your 800 calories frivolously.

Enter, healthy habits derailed:
Pizza Hut – a movie night in…– 2.75 slices of a large pepperoni pizza
Boston Pizza - relaxing night out with the girls, or with your significant other…no dishes, just good company – Chicken Parmesan with starter salad (no side)
Drive through…where else – McDonalds – 1 Big Mac and small fries
Dairy Queen - What else says treat? – 1 small Midnight Truffle Blizzard
The movies – 1 small buttered popcorn and a small fountain coke
Cocktail - Happy Hour?! – 1 Margarita

Trust me, what you put into your body is an investment and when you make smart investments, it pays you in dividends for years to come!!!
I choose the Warren Buffet Way, a value buy for my 800 calories it is….quantity and quality.
