Today was my first day officially following "the plan"...it was great! I am doing cardio in the am 7 days a week and weight training in the afternoon/evening 6 days a week. I am to eat 6 meals a day consisting of tuna, chicken, white fish, egg whites, oatmeal, protein shakes, sweet potatoes and veggies, veggies and more veggies! This isn't too far off from what i normally eat, but it makes me very aware of how much I tend to pick at food while preparing meals or grazing the pantry. Tonight I prepared all meals to get me through the first part of the week. Having everything ready to grab and walk out the door will make it a lot easier to stick to this plan.
So, it has officially began! I'll let you all know how week one goes and will be posting progress pictures as the weeks go by.
See you in the gym!

13 Weeks, 2 Day Out!
Hi Everyone!
If you don't already know me, my name is Holly Poncelet and I am co-owner (along with my fiance Brett Barker) and manager of Anytime Fitness in Regina, Sk. I have decided to compete in the 2011 SABBA Novice Classic in the Bikini Division which takes place in Saskatoon on April 30th! As most of you know me from Anytime Fitness and are gym-goers yourselves, I thought it would be great to share my 13 week journey with you all!!
I have been passionate about health and fitness for as long as I can remember. I've bought and read fitness magazine after fitness magazine and have idolized the women in it...so with my 28th birthday just around the corner, I have decided, i'm not getting any youger (surprisingly enough!) and that the time to go for it is now!
My contest prep will consist of a 13 week plan starting this Sunday, January 30th. Nothing, but clean eating, intense workouts at Anytime Fitness consisting of morning cardio sessions and evening weight training and litres upon litres of water. I do consider myself a clean eater and an avid exerciser, but the contest preparation I will be following proves to be intimidating...to say the least. Regardless, I am excited for this journey to begin and am up for the challenge!
See you at the gym!
